----Unit 9 Leisure Time的课后反思

依据我对二期课改的理解,应该是以学生的发展为本,为学生的终生学习打下基础。英语是一门工具性和实践性统一的学科,根据英语学科的这一特征,我想学生应该通过英语学习和语言实践活动,逐步掌握英语知识和技能,提高语言综合运用能力,发展个性并提高人文素养和科学素养,促进全面发展,为终身发展打下良好的基础。而学生学习英语的主要场所是英语课堂,在课堂中如何有效地组织课堂,在课堂中营造良好的英语实践环境,并在环境中如何很好的实现教学目标,使同学主动热情参与课堂活动,最终各个环节相互关联层层递进,成为统一的整体,为目标服务。这些问题都是我们老师平时在设计课堂时思考的问题,下面我以主题为Leisure Time的公开课为例,将我的一点想法与大家分享探讨。

下面是我的课堂教学教案:

Unit 9 Leisure Time

Teaching aims:

(A)  Language focus:

Students will be able to:

1.       use the following phrases properly: like to do, like doing, enjoy doing;

2.       list spare time activities;

(B)   Skills focus:

Students will be able to:

1.       sort out different leisure time activities from some scrambled information according to listening comprehension materials;

2.       solve real life problems with what they’ve just learned;

3.       write about their own hobbies and how their family members spend their leisure time;

(C)  Emotion and attitude focus

Students will:

1.       be glad to take part in English communicative activities

2.       cooperate with their classmates and accomplish their tasks together

3.       follow a good hobby;

Teaching difficulties:

How to present ideas in a group discussion;

Teaching aids:

 Multimedia equipment, recorder;

Period 1

Teaching procedures:

I.                   Revision of Unit 8: a word-guessing game

11. Burma        12. hobby

Rules: One of the two students in a pair guess the word with the explanation by the other student. Each pair will be given 10 seconds. If they can’t finish the job, the other students should help.     

II.                Listen to the short dialogue and answer some questions

Everyone has his own hobbies. Do you have any hobbies? …So do James and Rita. Listen to the dialogue between them and answer some simple questions with complete sentences. You can take down notes while listening.

Q1: What does James like to watch on TV?

S: He likes to watch quiz shows and talk shows.

       Q2: What does Rita like to watch on TV?

           S: She likes to watch nature movies and cartoon?

       Q3: Does James love to watch nature movies and cartoons?

           S: Yes, he does.

       Q4: What do Rita’s parents like to watch on TV?

           S: They like to watch new and documentaries.

       Q5: What about James’ parents?     S: So do they.

       Documentaries: A work, such as a film or television program, presenting political, social, or historical subject matter

       Finance: The management of money

       Politics: The art or science of government or governing 

III.             Conduct a survey on Are you outgoing or shy

There is a famous channel showing all kinds of documentaries…. Do you like to watch programs on this channel? (Yes/No) Would you like to know what your group members do in their spare time?  Here is the chance for you! Please conduct a survey among your members. (Show “Survey” on the screen) Do they like to do some different activities in their spare time? And find out if they are outgoing or shy?(show the title on screen) Each member of the group takes turns asking one question, and all the members write down the names at the same time. After the survey, a member should present your result according to the information on the screen: (show the content). Then hand out the survey sheet.
