It’s been 18 years since I stood here in 1998 when I still had three red bars on my left arm as a student leader of the Young pioneer. After years of pursuit of moral integrity and academic progress, I want to say “thank you so much” to my mother school PFLS, which gives me various capabilities and unlimited possibilities. I’d love to sing “happy birthday to you” to her 20th anniversary of foundation. She absolutely honors the name of the cradle of professional diplomats and international talents!
Blessings come in pairs! Boys and girls, the greatly desired foreign language festival is round the corner, too. Laymen might judge it’s another method to improve your English, but at PFLS, it is much more than that. We have sth that lasts longer, feels warmer and sound sexier.
First, it realizes your achievable dreams. As the English Star in 2004, I might be a convincing example of this. Honestly, during the way of growing, even till now, I am challengeable and defeatable. Sometimes, I have to wait and my course may halt. But my Luve's still like a red, red rose, newly sprung in June, sweetly play'd in tune.
Furthermore, you can be an attentive role! All the world's a stage, and all the men and women merely players; In terms of dubbings, dramas, debates, you name it, a winner is not required, and a listener is also expected. If not the leading, be the supporting. Can’t carry off the prize? Your star will still rise!
Finally and most importantly, enjoy the carnival! French Scholar Pascal during the second renaissance once told us；“Ajouter de la vie aux jours, lorsqu’on ne peut plus ajouter le jour a la vie ! ”To the time to life, rather then to life in time. Want to sing at hall, make it loud! NO Partner at ball, ask her out!

离上次的司令台之行已18年，1998年的我还是一个戴着大队长标志的少先队员。多年求索，进德修业，我要对我的母校，浦外，说：感恩不尽，是您给了我多样的能力和无限的可能。我要为母校高唱生日快乐，20年风雨，您是外语外交人才的摇篮，实至名归。
福有双至。同学们翘首以盼的外语文化节已在转角。外人会觉得这是提高英语的手段，只有我们知道其意义远不止于此，我们的外语精神绵延多载，温暖人心，师生同乐！
首先，它会实现你切实可行的愿望。作为2004年的英语风采之星，我就是一个鲜明的范例。诚然，在成长的过程中，直至当下，我并非战无不胜，亦非无可挑剔，有时我举步维艰，甚至停滞不前，But，my Luve's still like a red, red rose, newly sprung in June, sweetly play'd in tune.但我的爱如艳红的玫瑰，如悠扬的乐曲，从未停歇心灵的浸润与追求。
同学们，你会是一个闪耀的明星！All the world's a stage,and all the men and women merely players.世界本是舞台，人人皆是演员。在配音、戏剧、辩论的比赛中，胜者固然醒目，听众也不可或缺。不是主角又何妨？配角也一样让人欢喜。奖状让人骄傲，参与同样使你自豪。
最重要的事，孩子们好好享受这场狂欢吧。法国学者巴斯卡在第二次文艺复兴时告诉世人：“Ajouter de la vie aux jours, lorsqu’on ne peut plus ajouter le jour a la vie ! ” “To the time to life, rather then to life in time.”“予时间以生命，而非予生命以时间。”若想开嗓，引吭高歌；派对聚欢，青春作伴！
